 Job Description


We have positions available for junior and senior sales people to sell our compute, storage and database cluster products. Potential customers include academic, research and commercial organisations throughout the Netherlands and Flanders. Your main responsibilities will be to generate leads, close deals and manage your accounts. Deal sizes may vary from €50K to €1M and above. These are positions that require a high level of responsibility and independance. You will have a lot of freedom to fill in your role and make a big impact on our turnover/profit and your earnings.


 Required and Desirable Skills


Sales Skills
Your main task will be to generate new business, using your relationship building/influencing skills and a "consultative selling approach" to meet and exceed sales targets for new and existing accounts. Credibility, presence and strong pitching and presentation skills are import, especially for the senior positions.

Market Knowledge
Our customers and prospects include scientists, engineers, IT staff, and managers within universities, research institutes and IT or R&D departments of medium/large companies. You should have experience selling to such types of organisations and prospects, preferably with an existing network of contacts. An academic/research background would be very helpful, but is not required. Specific knowledge of the HPC and supercomputer market would be very beneficial, but is not strictly required.

Product Knowledge
You will be selling high-end computer products and services built around PC, server and storage components, Linux and other open source software, support services, and consultancy. You will require a basic knowledge of CPU platforms (Intel/AMD), network technology (Ethernet), storage technology (RAID, SCSI, SATA, FCAL) and Linux/open source software. Specific knowledge of high performance and high availability computing technology such as high-speed interconnects, MPI/PVM communication software or scientific applications would be very beneficial, but not strictly required.

General Skill
